After only two days of jet lag recuperation, I was thrown head-first into my father-in-law’s 5-hour rallye, a big game where each team is given riddles which lead you from one exotic locale to another, in hopes of finding answers to trivia questions. It was about 31 degrees celsius (90 fahrenheit). Although I was in no condition to stay awake, let alone solve obscure riddles in French, I was able to see some gorgeous sites in the countryside and it ultimately served to be a nice welcoming into Europe. Any time I’m wondering if this is the right place for me, the last pic of the little castle structure in the meadow is all the proof I’ll need.
