Churchgoing

Couple of shots on our our way to the Louvre, starting with an interior of L’Eglise Saint-Eustache, a late-Gothic church from the early 1600’s which Mozart chose for his mother’s funeral, possibly because it’s known to have the largest church organ in all of France (which is saying something). Even with my lack of interest in religion itself, something about Gothic architecture stops me in my tracks every time. With well over 100 churches in this city, I’m looking forward to a lot of these quiet moments with my neck craned upward.
