Just a quick post to share some lovely views I came across recently. As a frequent contributor to the Bonjour Paris website I was tickled to be invited to their relaunch party at the Shangri-La Hotel. Here are a few iPhone snaps I took to try and capture an ambiance that I otherwise could never afford. Enjoy!
Sigh~! Times 10.
Sorry Jarrett, for those of you yearning to see Paris again I suppose these posts can be bitter sweet. :) Thanks for leaving a comment!
shucks – my little room at the Jardins d’Eiffel on the Rue Amelie also had a killer view of the Eiffel Tower if you stuck your head out the window – though if your taste runs to marble floors and neutral colors the blue walls and yellow sunflowers of the décor might have put you off. Excellent breakfast included!
Yes you certainly don’t need a fancy hotel room to get world class views in this city. One reason why I love it so much!
Oh gosh. I knew I didn’t bring the right dress for there.
Hehe…just slap a nice scarf on anything and you’ll fit right in Lee. :)
It’s always fun to see Paris through your eyes. Thanks for sharing a glimpse of this particular day!
Thanks so much Linda, hope you and your hubby are doing great! I appreciate you stopping by. :)
We’re both doing well. Can’t believe it’s been a year since we were there. Tom still talks about the Paris night tour as one of the highlights of the trip.
Aw that’s nice to hear 😊. It might sound sappy but helping people create nice memories of Paris is the best part of my job!
So glad to see that your talents are literally opening new doors for you, Corey. Thanks for sharing this little peek into Posh Paris. Oh la la, indeed!
Thanks Heather. :)
Cory, do you have a web site for your tour business? Would love to see more posts from you. Diane/USA
Hi Diane, thanks a lot for asking. The touring side of things is still in the early stages so I haven’t yet set up a proper website. Anyone who wishes to arrange a tour with me can contact me directly at cofrye.fr@gmail.com. Thanks for commenting!
Such pretty pictures…wonder if our view will be similar?!
Hi Julie, thanks for the kind words.
Always brings back wonderful memories! Looking forward to the next visit.
Thanks, it’s always nice to hear from Someone. :)
Corey: I just love all your pictures! One day I’ll climb up those stairs to the top of Sacré Coeur and get an eyeful. I live in the 9th arrondissement so it’s an “easy” walk up for me * hehe, only 258 steps to the base of the church and then the 311 you mention. Piece of cake!
All best, Jan
(I am trying to protect Paris heritage and quality of daily life – look at http://sosparis.free.fr or al the blogspot site of SOS Paris if you want to know more)
Hi Jan, thanks for your comment and your kind words. I lived in New York for a decade and it took me forever to visit the Statue of Liberty, I goes that’s just how it goes. I’ll definitely check out your site. Have a great day!
you have a gift…
That’s very sweet of you to say, thank you!
